No – this post is not a discussion of the various physical merits of Ms Cole and Ms Diaz (although between them there are many!)…it is of course about the fit..or not…of their clothes.
Here they both are – at the recent London premier of “What to Expect when you’re Expecting” – Cheryl in Victoria Beckham and Cameron in Stella McCartney. High profile event – high profile designers…so why Cameron did you not get the trousers shortened?? It does not look good – such a simple bit of tailoring – heck you could have done it yourself with some chewing gum.
Now – Cheryl – it’s not your fault – VB’s racer front dress just doesn’t quite work – it even bags at the bust on VB herself:
I actually really like the racer front look – but either the fabric has to mould and move with the body (stretch) or the fabric and fit have to be just perfect for the person wearing it – difficult to achieve in ready to wear.
And – well – I have to say it – VB’s dress, as modeled by Cheryl, takes the Alexander McQueen “curtain skirt” (as I like to call it) just too literally – its practically fashion plagiarism!
